The KAM Series aluminum adjustable punkah nozzle jet diffusers by EffectiV HVAC™ have been designed specifically to provide air diffusion from the sidewall in very large spaces. They can achieve a very long throw for both heating and cooling whilst given flexibility in direction.
Three methods of adjustment are available: manual (KAM-W and KAM-D), thermodynamic (KAM-W-ACTIF and KAM-D-ACTIF) and actuator-controlled (KAM-W-M5 and KAM-D-M5).
The design is the result of a collaboration of MADEL® and Benedito Design with the goal to provide a diffuser that encompasses smooth modern aesthetic lines appealing to the architectural market while providing a unique performance for specific applications.
KAM-W-ACTIF is ideal when supplying both heating and cooling from the wall in large rooms. Nozzle jet diffusers provide very long throw for large spaces. They’re ideal for reaching long distances without the use of Coanda effect. However, their long throw is also greatly affected by the natural effect of hot air going up and cold air going down. This often results in stratification, thermal discomfort and waste of energy. In order to counter that effect, KAM-ACTIF will self-adjust itself to send hot air downward 30 degrees and cold air upward 30 degrees.
ACTIF diffusers are self contained units which are automatically actuated by thermoreactive elements. They don’t require any power, configuration, controls nor maintenance.
KAM-W-ACTIF is made of aluminum and is suitable for drywall and other surface mounted applications. A removable rim hides the screws once installed, allowing for smooth lines and appealing design.
