Indoor air quality
It’s not just about clean air. It’s where it goes.
Indoor air quality starts with effective ventilation: delivering fresh air throughout the occupied zone. Some EffectiV diffusers also purify the air at the very end of the duct line.
Where it goes
Same fresh airflow. Two very different rooms.
A section through a room. Every dot is a parcel of air, coloured by its age: blue as it leaves the diffuser, red when it has been sitting for a while. Same supply and return airflow, same discharge pattern: only the induction changes.
Part of the fresh air leaves right away.
A standard diffuser entrains little room air. Its jets stay concentrated along the ceiling: part of the fresh air passes the return grille and leaves, and the room turns over slowly. The occupied zone gets less fresh air, most of all on the return side.
Fresh air reaches the people.
A high-induction diffuser mixes supply air into the room air and drives it through the whole volume, including where people breathe. Some fresh air still bypasses to the return, far less.
Fresh air in the breathing zone

Conceptual illustration only. It shows the principle, not a measurement: real temperatures, airflows and air quality vary from one room, system and building to the next. Not a CFD run of a specific product; the percentages compare the two model rooms, not a real building.
Inside a UV diffuser
Three treatments at the very end of the duct line.
UV Diffusers act as a shield: the air entering the room is treated, even when a large share of it is recirculated from other rooms of the building.

-
01 · UV-C
UV-C germicidal irradiation
Recycled air passes UV-C lamps sealed inside the plenum. Airborne viruses and bacteria are irradiated, while people in the room are never exposed to UV.
-
02 · MERV-9A
Filtration
A MERV-9A filter catches larger particles and the dust that builds up in ducts, a common cause of allergies and asthma.

High-induction diffusion
The diffuser face mixes the treated air into the room air and slows it down, so it reaches the occupied zone without drafts.
